For those seeking to file a Protection From Abuse (PFA), petitions are available by appointment only. To be seen by a judge on the same day, all paperwork must be completed no later than 11:00 AM.
Advocates are available for appointments from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Bedford County’s Crime Victim Center
Your Safe Haven, Inc. serves as the designated Crime Victim Resource Center for Bedford County, offering compassionate, comprehensive support to individuals impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault and other serious crimes.
Our services include counseling, assistance with filing Protection from Abuse (PFA) orders, and advocacy and accompaniment in civil, criminal, medical, and law enforcement settings. We also provide safety and goal planning, information and referrals, and a variety of other supportive services. For those in immediate danger, emergency shelter is available to ensure safety and stability during crisis situations.
In addition to direct services, Your Safe Haven, Inc. is deeply committed to prevention and community education. We work throughout Bedford County to raise awareness, promote violence prevention, and inform children and adults about critical issues as well as the services we provide. These outreach efforts take place in schools, community agencies, businesses, churches, and other local settings.
