Volunteering:
Volunteers are the backbone to any non-profit organization. As a volunteer with Your Safe Haven Inc., (YSH) you will be able to learn more about YSH’s services, build new skills, and meet new people. All while making a significant contribution of your time and talent to those in our community who may become victims of crime.
Volunteer Qualifications:
- 18 years or older
- Valid PA drivers license
- Pass a criminal background check
- Pass a child abuse history check
- Have your FBI clearances
- Complete the initial screening process
Training:
- Successfully complete the mandated 65-hour domestic violence and sexual assault training.
- Volunteers are required to attend an additional minimum of ten (10) hours of on-going trainings/in-service per year.
~After completing the mandated training, volunteers are asked to commit to one (1) year of volunteer services. Providing at lease four (4) hours of service per month.
~Volunteer hours should be completed during regular business hours Monday through Friday
